Noel Kaletsky Quartet
One of the top reedman on the traditional jazz scene. Noel is known for his versatility, quality, and accuracy when playing either the clarinet or the saxophone. He is outstanding in his ability when playing at the Kaletsky high speed tempos, or in bringing out the emotions of the more soulful music. He has returned to Connecticut, and is currently playing with The Rent Party Revellers,
and The Bearcats. Noel has been a star entertainer at jazz festivals from coast to coast, recording with many jazz bands throughout his career. He has his own CD - "Its About Time."
Don't let her size fool you, pianist Muriel Haverstein is dubbed the "Mid-Coast Monster." As she eloquently puts it: "I play a lot of piano, a lot of notes, I'm not dainty, and I have a left hand like a sledgehammer." She started with classical piano, but quickly found jazz and played in an all girls group, "Estelle and her Brunettes."
Bob Bequillard, on drums, is well known for his capabilities and versatility. He plays regularly with the Galvanized Jazz Band.
Bobo Lavorgna, double bass, rounds out the quartet and is a fixture in the Connecticut music scene. Bobo plays regularly with the 1917 Jazz Band, Big Easy Rhythm, and Michael Capezzone.
