it all began one stormy night
Bobo was sitting in with the Homesick John O'Leary Band at Malone's West in New Haven. During on of the breaks, this guy approaches Bobo with a proposition about playing a gig with him in August of 1977. Bobo was about to leave to SN&S band, so he figured, 'what the heck' and gave his number to the guy. August rolls around and Bobo gets this call from this guy, see? The guy says, 'hey Bobo, this is Tommy Cosmo'...and Bobo says to him, 'Tommy WHO?', and thus was born a relationship that has spanned over a quarter century...singer, songwriter, guitarist, consummate entertainer, the irrepressible Tommy Cosmo, and Bobo (the benign) bassist, "zany mugger" [according to Robert Palmer in The New York Times]...and the rest is history...
